<aside> 🥾 I decided to hike the E5 European long-distance path, stretching from Lake Constance to Verona in Italy. The path covers around 373 miles (approximately 600 km).

Length 29,9km
Uphill 80m
Downhill 80m
Date 12.06.24

Between Constance and Verona lay the Alps. This part of the E5 is definitely not a trail that one should underestimate too much. A certain level of physical fitness and at least some alpine experience is required. Moreover, one should really not be afraid of heights.

That said, on day 1 I went by train from Munich to Constance, which did not work really well. To get there in time, I took the ferry from Friedrichshafen to Konstanz, which offered the advantage that I could buy a coffee and some snacks and enjoy the beauty of Lake Constance.

Finally arrived at Konstanz, I walked along the southern shore of the lake, crossed the border to Switzerland and finally arrived in Abron.

The paths along the lake were easy to walk, however some of them were a bit flooded from the heavy rainfalls a few days ago.

At the evening in Abron I felt great, however my feet hurt a bit. It was quite a long hike. But I looked forward for day two.
